Dr. Sergei Shaginyan received his Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles. He is licensed to practice acupuncture and herbology in California and is board certified by the National Certification Commission in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Sergei Shaginyan graduated from the Moscow Medical School in Russia in 1981. His training included specializations in pediatrics, psychiatry, adult and pediatric neurology.

He also completed postgraduate fellowship (PhD program) in neurology. In addition to formal training in Western medicine, Dr. S teaches acupressure, nutrition, massage, yoga, healing chant and prayer traditions from many world cultures, as well as, energy work modalities and meditation.


Dr. Shaginyan uses prayers (Sanskrit, Aramaic, and Ancient Russian Orthodox), acupuncture, herbs, energy work, medical qi gong, individualized diets (based on Chinese, Ayurvedic, and other systems of natural healing), visualization, baths, Hatha Yoga exercises, meditation, music, and sound therapy.

Dr. Sergei has developed an extensive holistic healing curriculum over the years. He is a faculty member of the American University of Complementary Medicine and taught at the Institute of Professional Practical Therapy, the Yo San University of Oriental Medicine, as well as the Beverly Hills and Culver City Adult Schools.
